At the moment I’m 110 miles from home sipping coffee in 82F, side walk table. I need to get going if I want to get home before 93F

was going to do a short ride this morning, but by the time we had breakfast and coffee it was already 85F. Waiting for Fall to arrive!
I left the house at 6 AM or 1 hour before sunrise. I think it was 79F. Got home at 1:15 PM @ 92F. It really didn't feel that dreadful today. I think the difference is I wore my Aerostich instead of mesh and it vents air through the arms and torso really well while riding the NC. I stopped a couple of times after 88F to wet my neck cloth and long sleeve shirt and it really does work to help keep the body cool. Mesh sometimes makes me feel like I'm in an air fryer when riding the NC.

Always find the perspective on relative comfort across different temperatures interesting. 66.2 F is certainly nice, but we Floridians would find that almost brisk!
I've seen people in T shirts as soon as the sun shines in Scotland, even in winter. I used to ride in a Scottish winter. No heated grips. Hands on the engine at traffic lights. I must admit, Lithuanian winters of -30 were a bit iffy.

Took the NC out for a quick errand, 15 miles round trip. After having ridden the Can Am for the last month the NC felt very different. No hand brake, shifter levers reversed from the DCT, Horn/turn signals reversed, and you can lean the NC in the turns. I need to ride the NC more frequently.

Every winter we used to go to Fla to hog hunt. It would be in the 60s and wed be wearing long sleeve t shirts. The locals would be wearing winter coats lol

I'm a big baby when it comes to cold weather. -30 would make me a not-very-nice person!

Thursday , I went on a ride up silver fork Rd to go flyfishing with my brother ( on his GS) and had a great time , but my dog (Bear) was bummed to see me load fishing stuff on the bike and not take her. So yesterday we went fishing and getting the stick for a couple hrs. Than went for a ride down to Hantown Speedway with my neighbor Gus ( he rode his Harley ) pretty good mellow ride up to Pollock than thru apple hill to placerville and the fairgrounds. After the races we just took US 50 to Pollock pines and Sly Park to home ,but Gus's Harley broke his drive belt, so he had to ride bitch to get my trailer and rescue his bike. Spent the day cleaning bikes and vehicles today ,but going to meet Tim Speith (NC750 DCT)and his brother ( who rides a GS )& ride over Carson and monitor passes and our thru Smith valley, nv and down to Bridgeport and back. Should be a beautiful but long ride

The usual after work ride and went to the supermarket.
Decided to see if the helmet fits in the NC700s frunk. I actually haven't tried it yet.

It does.
AGV Compact ST (Numo in the states) size large. Perfect fit without tool roll.

Only gave it a try as was buying more than usual. I usually use my helmet as a basket.

Then it was back home via some twisties. I honestly think the bike handles better with a load in the frunk. Working tomorrow and on Saturday will go for a longer ride. Waiting for a larger capacity drybag to be delivered. Once it is, a camping trip will be organised.
