Seeing "Caddo Sheriff" reminds me of the story that when the parish didn't vote for Huey Long he sent the highway department in to take the gravel off the roads.
My favorite Louisiana politics joke is that a third world country bough Louisiana's old voting machines. Mary Landreau won by a landslide
Rode a 450 mile loop on the Olympic Peninsula. Met three riders in Purdy, WA. From Purdy, over the bridge (HW3) to HW 101 North. Up through Port Angeles. Wanted to see the ocean so off the 101 to 112 to Clallam Bay. Snap a pic or two. Back South to hit the 101 again. Had lunch at a burger joint in Forks. Rode down to the New Mooclips Highway that goes West towards the Ocean again. Head south on 109 all the way to Hoquiam. HW 107 to Montesano/Tumwater. I-5 North to HW16 - and on home to Gig Harbor. 463 miles from my garage to my garage. Gorgeous day. The seat slope mod has helped - but my rear end is sore.
Managed to get a nice afternoon of riding in Saturday.
