The oem windscreen is worthless.. The upright seating position (one major reason i bought the bike) definitely hurts in terms of wind resistance. It may be better to remove the windshield and leave it off altogether. I now have the Madstad and can say it has made a big difference. I took advice...
I think when I take off from my house I leave a trail of small nuts, bolts and screws that have fallen into the fairing or plastic bits and that I couldn't retrieve. I do know that I have scratches and scars on my hands and forearms from trying to retrieve lost bits.
Good deal indeed, and glad to hear you like the ride!
Welcome from Utah!
Lots of options for bags.. Givi has a bunch of different sizes, and the OEM's aren't that much more money. They fit nice and tight keeping a narrow profile, the hardware mounts are discrete, and they can be keyed off...
Biggest difference from the CalSci Sporty and the stock windshield is the stability at highway speeds. With the stock windshield and the CalSci At 75-85mph I always felt like I was riding in a crosswind or too close to an 18 wheeler, always getting a little side to side buffeting. That said, the...
My vote is for Madstad, but as is the case for most of us, my vote is based on a very small amount of data (I've only tried two different screens, the Madstad and a Cal Sci tinted sporty).

First off, it's expensive, but Mark Stadnyk is very hands-on, really stands behind his product, and his advice to me on sizing was spot on, with a pledge to take it back and replace it if the sizing wasn't right. All well and good, and in fairness some or most of the other windshield guys would...
my (medium) Shoei Qwest fits, but only just. My (also medium) HJC IS-33 fits a bit better.
I guess fitting a helmet into the trunk is a selling point for the bike, but I keep a lot of 'stuff' in the trunk anyway, so rather than juggle things around, i just use a little combination ski lock...
My Ram universal X Mount will hold anything from an iPhone to a portable GPS and is mounted on the handlebar 'riser/tower':
It doesn't interfere with the handlebars turning, but it would if it were mounted vertically enough to avoid reflections - the compromise is that the device sits a...
Welcome from the Utah Alps. 6k kilometers is a lot in 3 and a bit months. Sounds like the bike may have done more than just some demo rides (in winter no less). But this is a low stress motor, so probably not a problem. Would be worth asking the dealer about though?
Where's your Ram mount situated?
My Ram universal mount is on the handlebar top bridge, and is a little too horizontal for good viewing as the iPhone's screen picks up too much reflection. I need to either shade the screen with something or move the mount to a different location, but with the...
Re my iPhone Nav app research: a few developments..
CoPilotLive: turns out this otherwise great app is let down by a less-than-perfect user interface, but is let down TOTALLY by the out of date downloadable maps. Maybe in your state they're ok, but in Utah they're hopelessly out of date. Not...
No worries! That at least solves the lack of Bluetooth issue. With my iPhone Nav apps my approach is pretty much the opposite - I listen to the prompts, hardly ever look at the screen.
