someone demo the ctx700 and report back :)

The oem windscreen is worthless.. The upright seating position (one major reason i bought the bike) definitely hurts in terms of wind resistance. It may be better to remove the windshield and leave it off altogether. I now have the Madstad and can say it has made a big difference. I took advice...

What helmets fit in the trunk?

Interesting! My medium qwest with an SMH-10 attached won't fit (or at least I haven't managed to get it in).

    Help installing giviv35 luggaage

I think when I take off from my house I leave a trail of small nuts, bolts and screws that have fallen into the fairing or plastic bits and that I couldn't retrieve. I do know that I have scratches and scars on my hands and forearms from trying to retrieve lost bits.

    Found my NC700X!!!!!

Good deal indeed, and glad to hear you like the ride! Welcome from Utah! Lots of options for bags.. Givi has a bunch of different sizes, and the OEM's aren't that much more money. They fit nice and tight keeping a narrow profile, the hardware mounts are discrete, and they can be keyed off...

Madstad Sport screen installed - initial impressions.

Biggest difference from the CalSci Sporty and the stock windshield is the stability at highway speeds. With the stock windshield and the CalSci At 75-85mph I always felt like I was riding in a crosswind or too close to an 18 wheeler, always getting a little side to side buffeting. That said, the...

Best Aftermarket Windscreen (Links to each for comparison)

My vote is for Madstad, but as is the case for most of us, my vote is based on a very small amount of data (I've only tried two different screens, the Madstad and a Cal Sci tinted sporty). http://nc700-forum.com/forum/nc700-mods/2795-madstad-sport-screen-installed-initial-impressions.html

Madstad Sport screen installed - initial impressions.

First off, it's expensive, but Mark Stadnyk is very hands-on, really stands behind his product, and his advice to me on sizing was spot on, with a pledge to take it back and replace it if the sizing wasn't right. All well and good, and in fairness some or most of the other windshield guys would...

What helmets fit in the trunk?

my (medium) Shoei Qwest fits, but only just. My (also medium) HJC IS-33 fits a bit better. I guess fitting a helmet into the trunk is a selling point for the bike, but I keep a lot of 'stuff' in the trunk anyway, so rather than juggle things around, i just use a little combination ski lock...

GPS: Can you SEE yours while riding?

My Ram universal X Mount will hold anything from an iPhone to a portable GPS and is mounted on the handlebar 'riser/tower': It doesn't interfere with the handlebars turning, but it would if it were mounted vertically enough to avoid reflections - the compromise is that the device sits a...
