The mod does not show obvious change aesthetically. however, i had a bit of difficulty putting back the plastic covers. It's gave me a very tight fit and need to push up or down the plastic covers in order to fit the bolts into the holes (Plastic cover holes).

That is a great looking bike. It is a deep, deep shame American Honda didn't see fit to sell it in the US.

Has the seat bracket plate, (the metal plate you placed the 1/2" nuts under) bent from your weight since there is no support for it except the two 1/2" nuts? Also the rubber bumpers on the bottom front of the seat are pressing down on each end of the non-supported metal bracket since there is now 1/2" of space under it.View attachment 23096
My simple, fast and cheap seat mod.
No kidding - I really think that I would have pulled the trigger on one!
I swear by my AirHawk, and you are right just about 1/4 full of air, just enough for you to float off seat. Some like it some don't, takes getting use to. Had it on a Rebel 450 for about 6000 miles and was a life savor, or but savor. hehe!!
Thirty years later, the only thing I studied in high school that I actually make use of is those two years of typing class. Blind touch rules!
I rode 60 miles on a Sargent seat and it still has the slope and my marbles were NOT in the proper place for most of the ride. Still slid forward.
The Sargent seat ( and your marbles) still can benefit from raising the front seat mount to cure the forward slope issue.
