Went for a spin on Sunday to make a visit to Bloomington. Monroe Reservoir is in the background.

My son and I got home yesterday from our ride from Jacksonville, FL to Key West. Left home Thursday, back 1,103 miles later.

Installed windscreen I bought from CB4ME and new SW Motech steel luggage rack. Now I just need warmer weather and left knee to heal (torn MCL) so I can get out. I have ordered the Givi engine guards that should be here by the end of the week, which I will mount highway pegs which should allow me to ride with less knee bending! Getting old isn't for sissies!

Road Palmer Divide today. Nice 120 miles in great weather. Took first video with new camera. It was a great day.

Fitted a FIAMM mini blaster horn in place of the original unit and removed/cleaned/refitted the Triumph fork guards.

Oh, not bike related but seeing as the camera was handy, tried out the camera's zoom function on a Virgin 747 which was turning to head west after departing Gatwick.

I also installed a new horn today, as expected almost plug and play. All that needs to be done is to install a relay for the horn to accomodate for the extra 1,5 Amps the new horn draws over the old one.

After a tedious minute of plugging in 2 cables, I rewarded myself by testing the NC's top speed after 4500 km; the result being 119 mph (191kph) on the speedometer on a level stretch of road. (My NC is throttled to 48hp by law, rather than the 55hp it would normaly have.)

Love the loud horn. I've always mounted them on my motorcycles. Need to get busy and put one on my new NCXD

Cases and Stand

Yesterday I mounted the Givi racks and cases..easy peasy.

Today I did the center stand...PITA. I've done two previously and this one was actually a little easier than the previous ones.

You must not weigh very much, we're going downhill, or you had a strong tail wind, to reach 119mph!
Enjoy the horn, hope it moves people out of your way when going 119mph!

Slim 180 lbs, and no downhill. The bike runs 106mph accoring to Honda, so 119mph isn't far off when taking speedo deviation into account.

We have something people like to call the (roughly translated) "left lane diesel faction" here, which normaly consists of 2 or 3 cars going 100-110 mph in a little convoy, in which you can cruise along 'til your exit comes. :) So no horn needed :D

I've seen an indicated speed of just under 120 mph on my 750X manual. Not something I do regularly, just for research purposes!

Getting to 90/100 is pretty effortless, it's just that last 20mph or so that takes a little patience.

I finally got my GPR Deeptone exhaust. It was really easy to install. Nice quality about it. I really like the short and slim profile of the exhaust. I think it looks really good on the NCX.

I also made a little video for you guys :) It's recorded with my phone so the quality isn't the best.

We actually got about an inch of rain yesterday, so we went on a spring ride while things are still green.
Leading a Moto Guzzi California 1400 and a Harley Ultra.
Had to see how the Yoshi sounded in a group, both said it was fine without the sound baffle.

Got in my second ride of the NC. Did about 70 miles today. I noticed that my fuel mileage increased as I rode.

Stopped to get a pic at these old stables. Used to be part of an antebellum plantation. There are several in the area.
