I had some initial problems posting this. It is now in the NC750X Modifications forum, but also appears here appended to itlive's excellent Shad SH-36 review post, which wasn't my intention.
In case anyone hasn't seen this, and is interested in how to improve the positioning on the bike of these otherwise very good side cases, then here is a link to my post in the NC750X forum:
