Off topic, but is motorcycle theft a big problem in your neck of the woods? It's increasing here in the USA but fortunately not in my area.Installed a camera to watch over my wee bike. I'll go out later to get some clips to tidy up the cables and have a ride. Looks like it will be a nice weekend.
The camera is linked to my phone and echo show, has movement and person detection and a siren that scared the hell out of me when my neighbour drove off. Siren got switched off.

@the Ferret, note sentence 2.Great morning though the wind picked up in the afternoon. Washed bike, lubed and checked chain and checked the oil level etc.
At the moment my wife's car is in the workshop so my bike is our only transport. After I had had my fun on the back roads, it was off to do the shopping. Surprising just how much I can carry on an NC 700.
Not down where I am but it is a problem in Dublin. I am more worried about teens acting up near the bike. We do have a problem of bored teenagers and petty vandalism.Off topic, but is motorcycle theft a big problem in your neck of the woods? It's increasing here in the USA but fortunately not in my area.
I was lucky enough to have a Bald Eagle right in front of me. I was not on my motorcycle and caught it on my dashcam. I saw it on top of a resident's roof and watched it for some time before it flew to the spot where you see him in the video. I was riding my NC not too long ago and saw the biggest Bald Eagle I'd ever laid eyes on, pulled a u turn, and it took of before I could capture him on my cell phone. Well, I did capture it but it was flying away but it has no real quality to it.Not down where I am but it is a problem in Dublin. I am more worried about teens acting up near the bike. As an aside, I forgot to mention I was going past a bog area today and saw a magnificent sparrowhawk right in front of me. I wish I had a helmet cam. It was close enough for me to shave off some speed as I almost hit it.
Met friends yesterday morning for coffee and a day ride. After 150 miles we stopped for a break and when taking off my gear the long entry/exit zipper from throat to left ankle jammed on my 1 pc Aerostich Roadcrafter. The way it is constructed if the zipper breaks when it's donned and the zipper is fully closed there's no way out of the suit without damaging or ruining the suit. Thanks to my good friends Ashley, Bil, and Bernie we managed to force the zipper down far enough to get me out of the suit but when working on the jammed up slides I broke one slide completely. Bernie had a few long zip ties and we secured the suit around my left leg and I took the web belt out of my pants to secure the torso section around my chest. It was better than no protection but I called it a day and rode 50 miles home like that. There is an old time shoe and luggage repair shop in Jacksonville that can replace the zipper for a fair price.
