So what did you do TO your NC700 today.

Already had a few people asking how they performed... So first ride was this morning and they worked FANTASTICALLY! I wore some mid-weight Alpine Star - DryStar gloves and my hands were actually a little more warm than I liked. It was raining pretty steadily in a 20 mile drive to work in a mix...

    Rainy season in NC700x style

Gonepaddling, I was so excited to see someone else going down the same road as me. I have very similar needs as yours and am a year round rider. Started with cheap Trackside hand guards to block the wind. Then ordered Hippo Hands. I just installed my Hippo Hands that, upon installation only (no...

So what did you do TO your NC700 today.

Just got my Hippo Hands today. Put em on in about 10 minutes total and I can't wait to ride tomorrow morning. I hope it's COOOLD... ya know, to put em to a real test :)

    Leg Aprons?

I saw a guy do that same thing... I've been a bit hesitant to try it out of fear that it might tip the bike. Is that a realistic caution or am I totally imaging the impossible happening? Also, the more I look, the more it seems that they are used pretty frequently in Europe. Hmmmm....

    Leg Aprons?

So if you look at the Tucano Urbano website page I've linked below you can see the model they have that works with motorcycles... just not sure about it being compatible with the NC700. From what I've read, it makes it significantly warmer as it cuts the wind. They call the model the Gaucho and...

    Leg Aprons?

So it's winter, and for folks in the NW (me, Portland), that means not just cold, but also very wet. So I've been researching and theorizing in the best ways to stay warm and dry on the bike. Obviously there are a plethora of options for rain gear, and most of it is pretty pricey. I've come...

    Barkbuster/handguard install?

I have been looking for a solution to the cold hands issue besides putting on a bulky pair of winter gloves. After researching I feel like I have found problems (small or large) with most of the options. I read many reviews that spoke of the wind pushback on the handmuffs causing them to press...

One more NC700X rider in Oregon :)

I need to ride out to Vernonia. Last time I was out there I was waist deep in nasty water and muck when your town flooded. Those were some long days :) I'm sure it's much prettier without all the water.

    Do you wear ATGATT?

I know many will think this is insensitive and stupid... oh well. In the first part of her video telling her story she says they were doing 120... 120!?!? That's dumb even if you are "Rocking the Gear." I realize that stuff happens and things happen quickly, but I also know that when you look at...

Modification to lock on Storage Compartment needed

I need to correct my earlier post... I think his name is Dale, not Dave and his username is HONDABIKEPRO. Just ran across another thread where he posted some great tid bits of wisdom. Sorry Dale for getting your name wrong.

Modification to lock on Storage Compartment needed

That push-lock seems like a great idea. Anyone on here know how difficult that would be to switch out for this lock? I've seen several references to a "Dave" on this forum who seems to be quite proficient at modifications and making add-ons that, from what others have said, are quite good. Maybe...

Yep. Some if my favorites. There's some pretty nice places down the 1 along the coast of Cali too. Anyone else's favorites?

    Tank Bag Reviews

Amen to that list. Now the question is, which bag or bags have you found that meet those requirements? Inquiring minds want to know :)

    Tank Bag Reviews

You can also mount the quick connect ring by drilling the proper holes and screwing it directly to the frunk lid. There's a pic on here somewhere if someone else who did it and it looked great. For me, it's about being able to easily store items when I have the need without resorting to lashing...

    New member welcome thread..

That seal pic cracked my wife and I up. It's actually from a web cam station in Antarctica. The full picture is a bunch of penguins and then in the bottom right corner there's this seal that looks like it is totally photo bombing the penguins picture. I thought it was photoshopped but when I...

    Tank Bag Reviews

I know there are a few other threads that talk about tank bags. I think I have narrowed it down to the SW Motech/ Bags Connection tank bags... but not quite sure. And I'm the type that wants to have as much information as possible before I purchase something. I like the idea of the quick...

Thanks for the reply. Kinda interesting solution. Hadn't seen that before. I got my bike at Motosport Hillsboro and can't say enough good things about them. Let me know if you want to go riding sometime :)

Ouch. But I gotta say, I do like the silver. Goes well with black and everyone knows black is bad a** right? :)

Haha. Well I was taking kind of a gamble and went with the DCT which, unless I am mistaken only comes in silver. But I'm ok with that cause I think red attracts unwanted attention from the police :)

Thanks... wouldn't have thought to look in the tool kit. But I did see that metal hook in the gas tank area, but there was no way to get the D ring to it :) Thanks again.
