I'd make one suggestion to the Happy - Rocker66 feud, and that is to take it private. I doubt that anyone really wants to hear it or cares about who is right or who started it. Just ask, "does my post add or detract from the civility and good will of the board and its purpose?" If not, leave it unsaid or take it private.

I personally do not need to know or want to know.

Agreed! ~~~~

"Life's too short"

Exactly. Let's move on..

Now no sarcasim involved. Do you wish to tell the rest of us which tyre you went with? Staying with stock brand? Or something else perhaps? I am curious. :)

Yes I'm staying with the Bridgestone 023. This because it has proved to be a good all year round tyre with good wet weather performance and also because I have an Ermax hugger fitted and apparently some people have had clearance problems with this and the Metzelers. I would have tried PR3 which I use on my crossrunner but I didn't want to spend out on these only to find that they also had a clearance problem

Hello all, again apologies for my little adventure online (again). I have deleted my posts to avoid accumulating hate threads and I pray for peace here. I am HAPPY and I endeavor to stay that way. If I get on your nerves by mistake, just point it out to me. Civility begets civility, I understand that point very well.

Well, this topic is fun!

Couldn't ride to work today as I do not have the proper gear for rain...yet. After work everything had dried up and I decided to go on a nice leisurely ride on some rural, curved roads. All went well. Got to the "covered bridge" and decided to turn around...uhhhh....when did those clouds appear? I got within 3 miles of my home when tropical storm HOLYCRAP hit! I got drenched, bike got drenched, wife got worried...then laughed as I came in the house with only my boxers on (I had "changed" in the garage). I dried myself, and the bike off and all is well. No forecast for rain tomorrow...I hope!

Haha! That was too funny! Made my evening.

My NC sat in the garage today while the car got some exercise. On the plus side, my GPS was getting charged for the next bike ride. What I did do to my NC today was install the Tusk 12v Power Socket for some mobile juicing of my lighweight toys while in transit. Very pleased with myself. Looks like it belongs there. I posted that tidbit in mods with pics to help tell the story. Tomorrow, we ride!!!

Still waiting for the sunday ride (season finale over here)....
No chance today, coz it was freeking cold in the morning....i took the car...

Took mine to dealer for 8000 mile service and new tyres. I'm enjoying the CB1000R loan bike so much I have arranged to leave the NC at the dealer until tomorrow lunch time when I will collect it on my way in for late turn

Let us know if they had to adjust the valves, I'm betting they were still in spec. I may let my dealer do the second service, if he loaned me a Super Ténéré. lol

Installed the Honda tall windshield took it for a ride. The tall shield works great for me, no wind buffeting and greatly reduced the wind noise. Lubed the chain after the ride.

Installed Vario wind screen, but haven't given it a good evaluation ride to see how all the settings compare. It's supposed to have 7 settings, however, using my fingers as a guide, I only count 5...

I'm doing the engineering for a front brake upgrade and working on a custom tail tidy and rear lighting upgrade. Details to come in Extreme Farkling. I need to tie up all of the loose farkling in the next week or so because my suspension is speeding its way homeward...
