NC750X DCT (2019) Side Stand Switch Reversed

Yesterday I stopped my NC750 by putting down the side stand.
When I started it up again, the bike will only go into gear with the side stand down.
When I put the side stand up to pull off, the engine cuts out.

So my Side Stand Switch is acting in reverse of what it should.

Has anyone come across this already, or have any idea about what might cause this?

I recently had a similar problem with another brand bike. Examine the switch and make sure the alignment pin on the back of the switch is present and engaged in the hole behind the switch.

I will make sure the switch is mounted correctly and if that doesn't help then I will get a new switch.

Well,
The thing is, have you been riding your NC up to this point and if so, have you been using the side stand like normal. If so, has it or the bike, or engine I should say, been acting normal? For the side stand switch to be "mounted" incorrectly seems not logical if, IF the bike has been acting normal up to this point. That is of course unless someone's been working on the bike or part of the electrical system pertaining to the side stand/switch.

Having remounted the switch carefully, all is good.
