I'll be installing Denali D2 lights and I'm wanting to know what type of connectors (and where to purchase) that I'll need to plug neatly into the Honda wiring harness. I'm sure it has a name or number or whatever. When I'm looking up connector types, there just seems to be no end of the type...
Will do. The last tank was 77 (also my best tank so far). The previous couple tanks before that were 74-ish. I kind of think they'll be the same. This is a small top box ... and it's the "Flow" model. Also, when I got the 77 MPG, I had a passenger on board for 90% of the time. -Jim
On the advise of my local NC Buddy bamamate, I purchased the SW-MOTECH ALU RACK. Then I found a used GIVI E350N for $50 on Craigslist. So I had to purchase the cool mounting plate for the Alu Rack so that I could use my sweet Givi top box. I like it. It is on the small side. A full face...
Okay. Let's have an expert review here. What did he do wrong? Was it speed? Panic? Too much front brake? Inexperience? All of the above?
It just seems like this should not have happened.
At 45 MPH you'd be going into or already be in 5th. So I think 4th gear on the NC is what you'd be looking to stay in around town. The NC would probably not mind you riding between 25-45 MPH in 4th without downshifting (assuming flat and level terrain). -Jim
I have only one OEM key. I use it ONLY in the ignition. I use the spare to open the frunkNfuel. I leave the key in the ignition as much as possible (like when getting fuel, short stops, and when parked at home in the garage). I figure the fewer number of times that thing comes out of the...
Sold an FJR myself to get an NC ...
The NC is not an FJR, but I'm enjoying it as much in ways different from the FJR. Sounds like after you get one, and add the storage you mentioned, you'll will love what the bike can do for you. And you will love the MPGs you attain!
I wish you well.
Jim...
You sound just like me! I sold the FJR in January, found a good used 2012 three weeks later and haven't looked back. You'll love the lighter bike when moving it around. You will miss the roll on acceleration of the FJR for sure, but when you fill up and realize you just got 70 MPG, then...
I'm guessing you're like me, a federal employee. I've always noticed that the motorcycle rate is much higher than the standard POV, but close to the higher POV rate. I've got a trip next week that's just 350 miles east from here. It would be a great opportunity for me to take the NC instead...
What you describe sounds just like the experience I have with my NC's fuel gauge.
When I've filled up within 10 miles of it blinking, it has taken around 2.7 gallons. So I learned that I'm not going to panic when I see it start to blink. I know I have a good 50 miles before I really need to...
