Spent 6 months touring in a Klim Badlands Pro suit. 40+ C heat to 1 Degrees C. Can't speak enough about it. Only weak part.... no superfabric standard.
Reading all this discussion about speculation about D30. I would like to report that I have crash tested D3O in a Klim badlands jacket last year at over 60mph on a wet motorway. Slide for a large distance and then tumbled sideways on my elbows and shoulders. The D3O did its job and I have ended...
I have installed scottoilers on every other bike I owned except the NC, because it required that stupidly expensive e system. On the bikes with oilers the chain never get cleaned and they have lasted 50k+ km's. I will be testing a loobman on the NC in the future.
It is 23C / 73F outside, humid, raining and windy. Blowing is more the right word around 20 knots gusting 40 knots at a guess.
Ridden the NCX both heading into the wind and away from the wind at around 110km/66mph. I am 178cm 5.8feet barefoot tall. I am using a Shoei Neotec helmet with...
You can't see the internals. Forks looks the same outside :) but have a read of this EMULATORGV
and this http://racetech.com/page/id/129
It uses a stack of shims I believe that opens and closes depending on the speed of the oil flow / fork compression.
I have had the above done on my...
FYI, the suspension tuner said the harsh bumps are from the limited oil flow of the damping forks. When a square edged bump comes thru spring compresses, but the oil is trapped and only gets to flow thru a very limited hole in the damping fork. By installing a race tech cartridge emulator, the...
I have learnt that the NC700X/S forks are tuned for smooth tarmac. If any of you have ridden along bumpy roads with square edged bumps you should find you are getting sharp bumps thru the front forks. I have sent my forks to a very well regarded suspension tuner in Kiwi land. And have had...
Yep I did the bedding in process on my bike and it made a huge difference. My bike was ex demo, and it seems those who rode it previous was being too nice to it.
