    Radiator hose

Thanks guys! The shop is located only 7-8 miles from home. All paved except the last 100 yards or so. I might as well flush it through this weekend since I have plenty of premix available.

    Radiator hose

I just had 16,000 mile service done at a local shop. After bringing the bike home I thought do some cleaning and noticed this hose was hanging loose behind the radiator. It is supposed to be connected to the tip under the filler cap right? The hose looks like it's missing the compression clip as...

OEM heated grips equally warm on both sides?

Haven't had any differences with mine, that I could tell. I'd check the connectors, grimps, and possible corroded wires and then compare the resistances between the sides and lengths of wires.

How cold was you ride today!!

All last week and this morning it's been down to 24-26F in the mornings, around 6 am when I leave home (Kingston, WA). I've been ok so far with my Tourmaster gear and extra sweatshirt underneath but I think anything colder than this and I would start considering heated underlayment or something...

Denali D2 (dual intensity) long term

Both. It's much better to break the air with the hand guards and let your fingers soak in the heat from the grips.

Are Motorcycles Really More Practical and Economical?

Years ago in the late 90's I bought a Geo Metro for commuting. I paid something around $9000 for it, but don't hold me to the price as I simply don't recall exact. That car got 45+ MPG pretty easy, which back then was great. Parking cost me $7-8 per day in open public lots. Monthly ferry tickets...

    Commuting Advice

Check your parking options. Many companies in downtown areas provide subsidized if not even free parking for bike commuters. We have a storage room where I can leave my boots/riding pants and in rainy days I hang them up in engineering boiler room which is just across the hall too. As long as I...

    Reflective Stickers - Honda Sidebags

I can testify 3M Reflective Black Tape Type 680 to be just the right thing to use! I bought 4 3"X8" strips off eBay for about $7 and was pondering how to make the most of them. You can't see them too well in daylight, at the very back of the saddlebags: But during the night in the dark...
