Rugbug, if I lived up there, I would have gotten the black. I wouldn't let the couple of times a year in the heat bother me. My jacket is silver and black and hot as hades here in the south.

My concern was that I ride in the warmer states once a year but I think the Latitude will work even in black.

Love my Firstgear - yes - it is black. There is HiViz and gray available though.
