My NC currently has 43500 miles on it, I commute 200 miles round trip every day. If I'm not in a hurry I'll cruise at 75mph, when running late 80 mph. There are two long hills that I have to hit about 2 miles long, bike will drop to 70mph on the initail climb then slowly climb back up to speed half way through. Stock gearing on Shinko 705's 150/70/17.

It sounds like you burn the slab on your commute. What kind of mile life do you get out of your 705s? I’m thinking of getting a set when my stock tires wear out next year.

This what they look like at 5300 miles on them with the occasional back roads to keep my commute less boring.

That's great news, iv'e already made plans to purchase a nice set of those 705's for my ride to Alaska next year. :{)

Lotta straight line riding on those tires, judging from the nubbies.

My Shinko 705s saw a lot of rugged off road, and the rear tire is half gone at 5000 miles.
