It is a common statement that the NC is the Swiss Army Knife of motorcycles. Many of us here have put the HMW roundels on our NCs. The site that sold the roundels also has a Swiss Army one.

I believe the "Swiss Army Knife" is a reference to the versatility of of an item. Like the many available functions/uses of a Swiss Army knife.
So a "Geniune Swiss Army Bike" is a very versatile bike (motorcycle).

I bought my first bike in Germany in 1969 with babysitting money. It was a Raleigh 10 speed. It had a generator for the lights just like the above bike.
It got stolen.....so sad.

No they don't. I live here in Zurich Switzerland and the army rides BMW F650 GS. Nice sticker though
