I hear ya Robb! I don't like to borrow money for vehicle's either. Had to on my house and land, but that's it! If I can't pay cash, I don't need it.

I totally agree with the no-cash no-bike approach.

Although many people cannot afford their dream bikes, I think financial prudence in our times are more critical now to reduce our personal and national debt levels.

I do know some people who borrow everything on credit, houses, autos, pool, club memberships, bikes, hobbies....they are just irresponsible people IMO.

Having a balanced finance is also important, I mean we should make full use of credit but with every intention to pay it back.
Sorry, I work in a bank...so...it is something close to my heart.
