Some SilverWing riders flash the headlight by using the starter switch (the headlight circuit de-energizes during the start sequence - same thing on the NC700?). The key to this working is that there's a "lock-out" (my term) in the starting circuit that prevents the starter from engaging once the engine is running. So you're tooling down the highway and a truck or auto wants to pull into your lane. You hit the starter switch a few times and your headlight flashes in unison but the starter does not engage.
I have not traced this function in the wiring diagram for a complete understanding so I keep my fingers crossed.
The above it NOT true on a NC...............the headlight circuit does not run through the starter button like some other models.
