Not only is it normal to give your motorcycle a name, but a gender also.
Mines is named Diana because she died on me on the first ride to work after I bought her (get it? Die-ana). The mechanic who assembled her didn't tighten the bolt on one of the battery terminals, and it had come loose. Anyway, I may be weird for naming my bike after such an odd event, but I thought it was a pretty name, so it stuck.
