Fix for SW Motech rack causing sticky seat latch.

I've had my Corbin seat and SW Motech rack on my bike for a year, and the seat(s) still do not touch the rack or grab rails. Even with a heavy person on board! The design is fine, but maybe an installer did not follow installation directions or made some alterations in design to cause the seat touching interference? Little changes can cause a lot of problems.

Same here, (but stock seat) I couldn't get the rack to interfere with the seat or grabrails if I tried, so it's a puzzle to me. I think with anything multi-piece and welded together, even professional items with jigs, there can be some slightly skewed, and turn out a wee bit off the nominal dimensions.

like most racks and rails they aren't all exactly the same.
you will get some what we call Friday cars.
they always seem to have faults when made on Fridays.
I once bought a givi rack for my Yamaha Fazer I had to do a bit of drilling/filling here and there to make it fit.
and I know a couple of friends that had problems on fitment of racks any makes.
nothing is perfect in this world.
