Clunk from left side / rear when letting clutch out?

I really wish motorcycle manufacturer got away from chains. if your cars required a 150 dollar new chain every 20k on top of the oil changes, you would think that your car was unreliable.

I really wish for a shaft drive on the NC

Just wondering why bicycles don't have shaft drive instead of chain. Probably because there would be more drag and more weight. I guess that's why some motorcycles still use chains.

Shaft drive would make this bike incredible! Belt drive would be close, at least then there would be no more mess.

^^^^^^^^^............If it had a belt drive ........... I would NOT have purchased the NC:

Adv bike and belt drive is a bad combination . (Adv in this case is gravel)
Belts and belt sprockets can be very expensive to replace ( ask the BMW guys)

If you need a the shaft the Honda NT700 is the perfect solution even comes with luggage and better wind protection, new it came a steep price, used they are now selling for far less. The compromise is you lose MPG.
