I put in a Signal Dynamic Back Off XP yesterday (5 quick flashes then steady on). I tucked the module up in the rear section behind the passenger seat with the wires facing forward. It was hard to find a place to adhere it to. Fairly simple and straight forward just don't drop one of the passenger seat nuts down in the bike if you take that off for more room.

I have flashers on all five street machines. Search ebay for BRAKE LIGHT FLASHER 36 MODES. Costs $21 and is very compact. Mine is programmed for 5 quick flashes for one second and then steady on. Repeats each time brake lights activated. The quick flashes are more dramatic with LED brake lights. I use mine with the GYB Stopper license plate mounted LED bar. My Goldwing has the Kisan unit but I don't care for it since the flash pattern drags out too long.

BTW, if you were concerned about legality, check your state laws. Although I've used these flashers for years, I saw Illinois just enacted a law Jan 1, 2013 legalizing brake light flashers on motorcycles.
