What is the alternator rating in watts? I want to know what accessories I can add without frying something expensive.

What does the bike use while running (watts)?

420 watts at 5000 RPM was often the number quoted for the original NC700 alternator output. I don’t think it has changed on later model years.

With the new models running LED headlights, there should be plenty of reserve power for some heating gear. Even on the first models with incandescent lights, I don’t recall anyone draining batteries by running too many accessories.

Got my HSM yesterday. After wading through page after page of specs, I found that the alternator for the NC750xD is 510 watts@5000rpm. The 750XA is 420 watts

I run Oxford heated grips and a warm-n-safe first gear heated jacket liner all winter on my 21 DCT with no issue. Then again, I don't run any additional lights or GPS or cell phone or whatever other electrical gizmos most others run.

Auxiliary conspicuity lighting, heated jacket, heated gloves, GPS, phone charger for electrical load and never an issue with my 700Xs but good that Honda upgraded the output in 2021+.

I did replace the original halogen headlight bulb with an LED and that probably saves a few amps.
