Anybody heard of and/or had experience with MMT tires? A set for our bike is $130.

I cannot find a Conti Motion 160/60-17 abmg my usual outlets (e g AMT). Anybody have a source around the $107 price?

Yep, what I called a buzzard is really a turkey vulture (North Carolina). And they are big as turkeys. They clean up the carrion, so part of the balance of nature. And striped bass are known locally as 'rock' or 'rockfish'.

I also hit a buzzard the other day and it snapped off my Moose racing screen (22" tall). Bird and plastic flew right over my head. Lucky it wasn't worse. Have my stock shorty on there until I can get another touring screen - forgot how noisy and the strength of the wind blast on my chest.

After 3+ years of using this helmet, I still like it. Admittedly have not had a crash, so no acid test for safety. I did add a strip of foam to improve the faceshield upper seal and reduce wind noise.

Update - after a few rides - perfect height (for me) for wind noise in lower mounting holes. Air spills in around sides, but the reduction in wind/rain on chest is decent. No fluttering (hard mounted). Good buy.

It IS a load for rubber wellnuts. They do not come with them, but do have longer bolts and standoffs. When I bought the NC it had a broken Honda touring screen that has a subframe and is much more solid. But the holes are made for the regular mounting, so I re-used the nutplates and bought 4...

Thanks Tacoma! My take is chain maintenance/alignment is the bigger variable, but it seems some of our fellow riders think the 'JT chains are not as good'. Still cogitating...

Buying new chain/sprockets. Is the DID xring chain really better than the JT brand? $20+ difference.
