NC7 Alumni : What have you been up to since your NC7 is now gone?

I had a 2012 DCT that I loved and farkled up just how I wanted it: Unfortunately the arthritis in both my knees got worse and it got to where I was afraid I was going to start dropping the bike so I sold my bike to Nofear2trek. I took off my top and side cases because he wanted to put his...

    Hating On Motorcyclist

I love to do the proper motorcycle wave to scooter riders. Most never get the wave and when they finally get one they get very excited. I have watched a couple of them almost fall over trying to wave back! I give everybody on two or three wheels a wave, no matter how many cc's they have or where...

    Need more power

I find it interesting that rjarrell first posted his inquiry on 11/28 and has not seen fit to make any comments further yet there has been close to 50 replies so far. We do seem to enjoy talking to ourselves, don't we? Is rjarrell a troll or perhaps he forgot to pay his internet bill and...

    Cold weather gear choices?

Barkbusters or cheaper Chinese version until it gets too cold, then the muffs. I put these over the Barkbusters. To use the parking brake you have to undo the Velcro strap once stopped. Warning! You do have to do some things by feel while going down the road so be careful!

    Building toy hauler/camper

The single hose portable air conditioners pull a vacuum in the room they are in and depend on the room leaking outside air into it to work. If you have to use one of these portable units spend the extra money and get one with two hoses. Portable A/C Units - Dual Hose vs Single Hose For small...

    Building toy hauler/camper

I have been thinking of possibly doing the same with a cargo trailer. A wrap made to look like a small camper might make it blend in more at campgrounds. I saw this trailer that has a fold-out bed, made by RC Trailers, Inc. Keeps you from having to set up inside the trailer all the time.

Real cruise control for NC700 - volunteer needed

For the disengage signal why not just sense off the brake light line? Am I missing something? Zero volts when not braking and ~12 volts when braking.

    Windscreen's Let's see em

Madstat 20" Ultra Super Clear type, with old style brackets. Not sure if they still make that model of plastic as it could cause some inverted buffeting at extremely low speeds.

    Driver says "I don't care"...

I just noticed that in the area of the accident Tin Top Road does not have a real shoulder, like many of the FM roads in Texas have including the one I posted above with the 75 MPH speed limit. This may be why the speed limit on this road is 60 MPH and the no-passing zones are so large. I...

    Driver says "I don't care"...

Texas Highways Something that may be foreign to many on the forum here, especially those in the northeast, is that most all Texas roads are built properly with the correct banking around curves for high speeds, along with a shoulder instead of a vehicle-flipping rut in the dirt. Texas (I are...

    Leo Vince Slip-on Questions

Most of my riding was in stop & go and slow & go driving to and from work on the freeway, which may explain my mileage. Others that commute in traffic may be able to add their experience. Charles

    Leo Vince Slip-on Questions

It appears I never took a picture of the exhaust side my bike with the Givi V35 side cases but they cleared my Leo Vince SBK and they now clear the Touratech Zega pro2 very large side cases that the new owner has on the bike. I don't know about the performance as the bike came with the Leo Vince...

    Lower seat

I have a seat that has been sculpted down to lower the rider, it came on my bike when I bought it. I'm not sure how much lower it is compared to the stock seat as I have never had the stock one but I would venture to guess about one inch or perhaps even more. As for comfort, you have to give up...
