Update - after a few rides - perfect height (for me) for wind noise in lower mounting holes.
Air spills in around sides, but the reduction in wind/rain on chest is decent.
No fluttering (hard mounted).
It IS a load for rubber wellnuts. They do not come with them, but do have longer bolts and standoffs.
When I bought the NC it had a broken Honda touring screen that has a subframe and is much more solid. But the holes are made for the regular mounting, so I re-used the nutplates and bought 4...
Decided to try this out after I cracked my big generic barn door. +9" over stock. $90.
Good job on wind noise (very important to me all the time), okay for wind on chest (cold weather concern), non-existant protection for hands/arms (like my big ugly one).
Good quality optically and...
I bought my set from Chaparral in CA. $116 or so plus tax no shipping. DID xring chain (highly regarded, but more expensive) and JT sprockets. They screwed it up by sending the 41tooth rear for the DCT model and I needed a 43. Man was I upset (bike was already apart and I had a trip...
Hey guys, thanks for insight/comments. The tire is on it's way to tire heaven, but I was just curious. I also think 42 psi is too much, so will run lower going forward.
I will take a pic when I get back to the hangar.
BTW - on my trip to KSL and some aggressive riding I consider the grip...
Not many weights.
Mounted an arm with a clamp and checked clearance as I spun wheel/tire. Less than .020" runout.
Used to run 38-40psi, but now 42 per manual. Wrong?
Advanced center wear usually indicates overpressure on a car, but round profile motorcycle tires are different. Am...
After my ride to KSL I inspected my rear Raven closely. 1050 mile trip, 300+ on twisties.
Prolly 5k on the rear in total.
Question is this - the center wear is down to the TWIs on some spots and more rubber left on 66% of the circumference. The tire must be out of round, but a indicator check...
