If suspension is a concern, and yes the NC has the most basic shock available, I have a top of the range Wilbers shock for sale. Adjustable high and low speed compression damping, rebound damping and hydraulic spring preload. Recently sold my 2017 NC750X so no longer require the shock. Recently...
I have a set of Hepco & Becker pannier frames for sale from my 2016 NC I recently sold. These are the quick release type. Bolt the mounting plates to the footpeg carriers and near the grab rails and it takes about 2 minutes max to fit or remove the pannier frames. Can be used with genuine Hepco...
I have a 20" Madstad on my 2016 NC750X. I re-drilled the holes in the screen and in the mounting brackets to tuck it in closer to the bike. Not much different in noise but looks a lot better than before plus I don't get the headlight reflection.
My biggest issue is the mounting points are so...
Have fitted 50mm risers to my 2016 NC750X and found the clutch cable just too short, particularly on full left lock. Went to the local Honda dealer and checked thru all their clutch cables. Found a Motion Pro 02-0040 to suit 1981 - 1983 XR250 and XR500. It is 65mm longer than stock and went on...
Hi Holloway,
For whatever reason some people get more wear out of tyres than others. Sometimes the people who get the most miles out of their tyres are the ones who use every last bit of tread up, even though the bike was handling like a bag of spuds for the last couple of thousand miles. As...
Went for a ride over to Texas for breakfast yesterday. Left home at 4am and out via Gatton, Ma Ma Creek. Had to dodge a huge goat, an emu and multiple kangaroos! Home via Stanthorpe with another 650km's added to the fun!
Hi Helix, Interesting observation. I had a SC seat fitted at delivery to my 2016 NC750X so cannot speak of the stock seat. At 5'10" the SC seat slopes too far forward for me. I see I can make up a bracket and relocate the front of the seat higher but should not need to do that. Plus it has the...
Hello Captainbeaky,
I have a 2016 NC750X which came standard with 17:43 gearing. As the speed limit in Australia is 100kmh (60mph) 6th gear was just too high so switched to a 16t front. Bike is definitely more user friendly now and no problem to use the original chain. Even had the benefit of a...
All good - found it! The speed sensor on the top rear of the crankcase has a little rubber waterproof boot on the connector. Once the boot is peeled back the connector can be unplugged and the speedo healer connected. Once I worked that out only takes a few minutes to have the speedo healer...
Hi Beemerphile, my Speedo Healer has just arrived. I see the where the speed sensor comes out of the top of the crankcase and then the wiring disappears into the wiring harness. Pulling the bodywork off is a real pain on these things. Can you please advise where the plug is to connect the Speedo...
Argh yes Mr Krampus you are correct. It would seem the only manufacturers of larger NC sprockets are Renthal and Superlite. Renthal didn't have 45 teeth available and I would have had to ship a 45t Superlite over as opposed to picking up a 1 tooth smaller front from the local Honda shop 10...
Just fitted a 1 tooth smaller (16t) front sprocket with standard 43t rear sprocket. For Australian speed limit of 100 kmh (60mph) this has made my 2016 NC750X better/ easier to ride. Has a little more punch but more importantly I don't have to down change on steeper inclinations on the highway...
Got them on mine too. They are great! This was last week at Thredbo.
And they came off my other awesome touring bike...MuZ 660 Traveller at Lakes Entrance.
