Honestly with my Givi shield, balaclava, heated jacket liner, heated grips, and handlebar muffs, it's a very pleasant ride.View attachment 51287
The Ferret's winter riding gear.
I might have to get a windshield like that.Honestly with my Givi shield, balaclava, heated jacket liner, heated grips, and handlebar muffs, it's a very pleasant ride.
Not a bad idea!I might have to get a windshield like that.
I'm doing good with snowmobile gloves, and heated grips.
We probably should start a thread about how our winter gear works.
I don’t have anything heated, I layer the top half with tshirt, sweatshirt & vest, topping it off with a lined motorcycle jacket. I wear heavy jeans with over-pants, thick socks, boots, heavier gloves and a neck gaiter.I might have to get a windshield like that.

That describes my current strategy. The snowmobile gloves and a wind proof barclava from cycle gear is all else I use.I don’t have anything heated, I layer the top half with tshirt, sweatshirt & vest, topping it off with a lined motorcycle jacket. The coldest I have ridden is 38°, but typically mid 40’s or higher. I prefer a sunny day.
For our Oklahoma weather a good 4 season motorcycle jacket is a good investment.I have the tall Honda windscreen, Barkbusters hand guards, Honda heated grips, insulated overalls, gaiter, long sleeve t, sweat shirt, flannel lined jeans, heavy coat, heavy insulated gloves, and medium weight boots. I definitely need to upgrade my boot and sock game. And OMG! Those heated grips!!! I can feel the warmth even through the heavy gloves.
I much prefer to ride in the dry and avoid riding in rain as much as I can. And wind, I really dislike riding in strong winds.
My jacket and insulated overalls are a Carhartt knockoff. I believe the brand is Beane. For our Oklahoma weather a good 4 season motorcycle jacket is a good investment.
I got mine at Cycle Gear in Tulsa, but there is a lot to pick from at other places so you can be picky for that kind of money.
I have one of those Beane jackets for farm work.My jacket and insulated overalls are a Carhartt knockoff. I believe the brand is Beane.
I agree wholeheartedly on the jacket. I refer to my Bilt Blast 2 as a 3 season jacket & I have a Scorpion EXO summer jacket. For our Oklahoma weather a good 4 season motorcycle jacket is a good investment.
