I added the lowered driver foot pegs today. I am actually shocked by the level of improved comfort. Next to a Corbin seat and ungraded suspension this has been the best mod I’ve ever made.

I see you post the link for the rear foot pegs. Are these the same as the front ones?

Ah yes, back when fenders actually covered the wheels and stock seats were comfortable, and Hondas came in colors besides red, grey, or black. Enjoy! She looks to be in great condition.

Yes proper fenders are in short supply nowadays. However my 2016 Strom has one. Its one thing to get a dirty header off the front wheel, but getting the radiators on modern bikes destroyed is a whole different aspect.

Picked up a new Ram Claw clamp and short extension for my old Tom Tom GPS so it's super easy to remove when I'm not using it or move to my other bike.

I'd like to do that but I worry about peg clearance. I still ride sporty and with two up (therefore lower clearance than solo) I do occasionally scrape my boots though not the pegs yet. I'd like to know how you feel about clearance after you've had them for a bit, just if you have a chance sometime. They look like good quality pedals. Come to think of it, since they're wider than the stock pegs do you have any issues with getting your boot to the shifter? TIA

I got one of those for the same reason. However it is also getting use on my EMTB when negotiating tracks in some of the larger forests that I frequent. It clamps to the stem where it is well out of the way.

I have a DCT so I can’t offer anything there. On the scraping I’ll let you know. I may sound like a geek, but I train on all my bikes for the worst. So I’ll be heading out to the airport this weekend. I’ll let you know how it goes. I’ll get kind of deep on u turns.

Watch out for planes…

Hi 404. I had zero scraping in uturns at low speed all within two parking spaces and few avoidance maneuvers, too. None of it was aggressive. I'll check the lean angle next time with the app...it wasn't installed on my new phone. The drop is ~40MM. I forgot to mention you'll have adjust your brake light activation switch also.

Thanks MZ. That's all I needed to know and thanks for the info!

Swapped my 41 rear sprocket and put on the stock 43 again to get an idea of where the wear marks were. Made a big difference. Did notice a stiff link on the chain. Will keep an eye on it. Now have the replacement parts to do all new sprockets and chain when the mood suits me.

Took a short trip to local gocart track for a KTM demo. Rode the 390 Duke as my kid (30 something) just bought one for his first bike. It's a cute little thing, fun to ride and very flickable. Spent about 25 minutes on a bunch of curvey roads. Wouldn't mind adding one to the garage

It’s BRP week.

Today I started my 4-5 day stretch of riding the Blue Ridge Parkway and the twisty roads that lead to and from it. I have a base camp site near the Parkway and each day I’ll plan a different ride, but it will most always involve the Parkway. I thought about doing the whole 469 BRP miles in both directions, but I think if I focus on the lower half, it will be more enjoyable.

Today I installed the LeoVince slip-on that I purchased from member Lee Dodge, who not only gave me a great deal, but also packed it perfectly and sent quickly. It's in great condition and sounds so much better than the stock pipe. Looks nice too. My daughter didn't understand why we buy aftermarket pipes and then we went for a ride and she was like "yeah, I get it now."
