I was wonder if anyone has any infor or has installed a Danmoto on their previous bikes. I commute and as winter hits I need another level of annoying drivers.

I don't know about America but in the UK noise along with accident figures is one of the biggest weapons used by the anti bike brigade. There are already calls to ban bikes from the National Parks which would ban us from much of the best riding areas in the UK

The no bikes signs are cropping up here as well. Mostly because of the HD and sport bike crowd but they don't care a bike is a bike.

There have been some lengthy discussion of DanMoto exhausts on the Ducati Monster forum that I frequent. The consensus is that they are cheap and loud (and not in a good way). They tend to cut a lot of corners in their manufacturing processes so it would look a little crude and rough around the edges (literally). Some had issues with fitment where the angle of the installation doesn't allow enough clearance, etc. But for the money and the pure sound volume you get, you can't find a better value than DanMoto.

Also, some had issue with back pressure, or lack there of.

Unfortunately, to the general non-riding population, a bike is a bike. We are seen as no different than those douchey HD running straight pipes or those wheelie popping sport bikes going 100+. Those DILLIGAF'ers really pisses me off.

DILLIGAF'ers

DILLIGAF'ers

It's those guys with the attitude of "Do I Look Like I Give A F***". I've seen patches of DILLIGAF on jackets, vests, and luggage. They are the modern day outlaws (so they think) who are ruining the images of the general riding community.

I hope Santa brings those DILLIGAF'ers a Lump Of Coal this Xmas!

I've both used and sold two bros. Very high quality, louder than stock but not hugely like the Danmoto. I can't predict if you'll find it too loud or not, but there's a decent chance you'll think it's great. Guys sell them on EBay for about $12 above dealer cost, which is why I don't sell them anymore.

I have. It will be LOUD. You'll fit right in with the Harley crowd.

I have read the pros and cons of loud vs high visibility but I witness the difference. So, any advantage of being seen or heard is a plus in the commute. These cagers are zombies and will attack without warning.

When splitting lanes I could use the vibration and sound.

Lane splitting is almost exclusively a California situation. Everywhere else in the US it is a no-no. I can just see me taking the GL1800 through knocking off all the mirrors and stuff. If I was in California I guess I would use every means available, including the helmet with the flashing lights and propeller on it.

Me too! I would leave.;)

I can't imagine not being allowed to filter (lane split) as to me this is one big advantage of a bike over a car. I'm not talking about unertaking at speed just making headway pass rows ofstationary or exceedingly slow traffic at not a very steady pace allowing time to stop should anyone change lane or open a door
