For the past few years, I've had a Shoei RF1200. Just bought a new Icon Variant a coupe months ago and have been wearing that this year. Love both helmets, except for the sizing of the Variant runs really small. Had to order 2 size up liner/cheek pad set just so it fit. But now that it does, it's a great helmet. I thought the visor would be loud or cause buffetting, but it doesn't. Very light and comfortable helmet.
The Shoei is excellent as well. Probably the better of the 2, but by a small margin and both are great products.
That being said, I tried getting some assistance with my Icon issue from their customer service department and was abysmally disappointed. Moving forward, I will not be doing any business with Icon, solely based on that.
