Indication when you go in reserve

Hello, sorry this is a dumb question but I can't find the answer anywhere... I've got a 2015 700x, USA version.
As soon as it goes in reserve a "0.0" number appears on the dash. Is that an indication of how much gas did I burn since I started using the 0.7 gals of reserve?
