Cover on rear of front headlight ?

So....I just picked up my ride from the dealer after having saddlebags installed. When I parked it at home my eyes caught the area behind the ignition key....the area behind the fairing where the rear of the front headlight housing is. I don't recall being able to see the headlight plug/wires before ....like there had been a plastic cover over them ??? I've only had my bike for about two weeks now (bought new) and swear there was a cover there before.....am I just imagining this or is everything typically exposed (see pic)

That is normal, the only cover there is the rubber cover on the back of the housing.

remove the plug from the light, that will give you a little room so that you can cover it in high quality electrical tape... if you wish.
