Please do not over look the time honored tradition of replacing the rubber brake hoses with braided steel lines. This change is regarded as a way to add feel and power to your braking.
Didn't expect to run out of a fuel. It just worked out that way. it's not 55 Mi to the nearest gas station. I took back, back roads, gambled and lost. I could have called AAA for fuel. I estimated the time to push vs. sit and wait, would have been about the same. To ride the final 5 miles to the...
That is 210.2 miles to an empty fuel tank. I don't ride the NC to conserve fuel.
The plan: Stop at the first gas station I pass. This morning I left the house with an estimated 40 mi of fuel in the tank. I had hit 200 miles per tank before, no problem. I went 50 miles, all on two lane, mostly...

My second Seat Concepts saddle went on my BMW X-Challenge. I went 1% softer to get slightly closer to the ground. They cast the foam while I watched, then installed it on my pan. I rode home in comfort!
I installed Over Racing lowering links this past week. The new links are 15mm longer than stock. The result is the seat is 1" lower.
Seat Height:
Stock 32 1/4 in
With links / before lowering forks .85 in. 31 1/2 in
With links / after lowering forks .85 in. 31 1/4 in
Notes:
Stock steel...
