I've had mine a month and never checked until last night. I'm 000138, 5/12 build date. My bike must have been sitting on the dealer floor for quite a while!!
Quartering or cross winds are always gonna suck no matter what. Determining the effectiveness of a screen in these conditions will never be accurate. Just like the buffeting you get when behind other vehicles. The wind comes from every direction and rocks the helmet. Your helmet makes a huge...
Just mounted these items up yesterday and wanted give my perspective on fit, finish and opinion of product. Sorry, no pics. You can see the product on line as well as if I was take to the pics.
First is the Cee Bailey windscreen. I went for the 20" light grey as the 22" would have been too...
Thanks for the info guys. Are the 150/70 TKC's measuring out to a full 150? I measured the Z8's with a caliper and they are measuring out to about 152 for a 160 tire. Rim width make a difference on the final tire width for a given size tire. A wider tire on a narrower rim would give a rounder...
I am assuming the rear is either a 150/70-17 or a 180/55-17. The 180 compares more accurately for diameter and sidewall height but not sure if we can stuff a 180 in there.
Anybody?
MZ5 is right. Those of us in the very dry, very hot climates shouldn't be using mesh. You dehydrate extremely fast. Much better to be fully covered and a little ventilation goes a long ways. You don't need to have full on mesh. I always get questioned "aren't you hot?" Uh, hell yeah!! But better...
I go with this line of thought:
Break In Secrets--How To Break In New Motorcycle and Car Engines For More Power
I have done this to the last half dozen bikes that I have owned since I researched his ideas and each one has never had any issues with excessive oil consumption, poor performance...
Kriega is seriously nice kit. I have a US10 and an R15 pack that have been abused badly and still work well after years on a dirt bike. I tried to mount the US10 as a tailpack to the NCX but the straps on that pack have to run under the rear seat for attachment. No hooks like on the 30. Works...
There was definitely larger flakes and lots of fine metal particles. I have always did the breakin on my bikes this way. I believe that is makes for better running machines that burn no oil. Differing opinions on this subject for sure but I do know that my bikes have always been solid, clean...
Well that makes me feel a bit better. Yeah the freight, setup and title costs looked bogus to me too but as long as the bottom line was ok I don't really care how they got there!
Thanks for the welcome. Yeah saw the off road review. Kinda what my ideas for the bike are just not going to do anything that extremme with it. My days of serious off roading are over. 3 knee surgeries, shoulder surgeries and the endless drain on the finances has put an end to that. Just wanna...
I paid $7150 OTD here in Vegas on Friday. I can't believe some of the low prices you guys in the midwest can get away with. I checked all the shops in a 250 mile radius from here that would do a phone quote and this was the best deal I could muster. West coast must be different. Just for...
well, Henderson actually but no one digs Henderson.
Anyway, picked up a '12 NC on Friday as my sole transportation after I sold my Camry to pay for an upcoming wedding. Happy for my daughter, sucks that I gotta pay!! Did the hard break-in for the first 20 miles, did an oil change (filter was a...
