Bet you didn't know you could break this piece on your NC700x....

That's an excellent point. I'm pretty unsystematically breaking mine piece by expensive piece.

So I went into the dealership to trade in the NC700X...

I saw your post and it made me think. I just went to the Triumph dealer and a similar epiphany. I went in because they had a new 2013 Bonneville that was a left-over. It was gorgeous and shiny and well, a triumph bonneville. The dealer set me up with a test drive and while I'm sure its the...

Bet you didn't know you could break this piece on your NC700x....

So I discovered the other day that if you're not paying attention and gun the throttle on your bike you can ever so gently smash the windscreen and break/crack the instrument stay. Sure, the stay looks pretty durable, but apparently not as durable as the side of the parking garage. The...

The proper Jacket- the proper protection.

Yep, its awesome but its unavailable in the US. The only available airbag vest is the hit-air one which uses the tether system which is significantly slower than Daineses. I keep watching to see when Dainese starts selling the d-air street system, I'll be in line for it. very cool, very smart.

Barkbusters Storm Installation - no need to remove internal weights

Thanks Chuck, Well that answers my question. Everything seems like such as good idea until I actually do it. Thanks again, Scott

Barkbusters Storm Installation - no need to remove internal weights

Just installed the Barkbuster Storm handguards on my bike last night. Used the barkbuster hardware and pulled the OEM weights out. Now I think I'm getting a vibration in the throttle grip, could I be right? Never one to think ahead, I read this thread after I pulled the weights and may go...

Miles on your DCT please... (not the MPG!)

Just broke 10K this afternoon! My DCT just hit 10K sitting in DC traffic this afternoon on the way home. No problems, still runs flawless.

Givi 41 Liter dual opening side cases

Interesting..... I'm racking my brain but can't figure out why this isn't a good idea. I agree the rack system is probably the preferred method. I like this one as well, the Dewalt system looks like a poor man's pelican case. Great idea, let me know how it progresses!

Extra fuel storage. MSR bottles mounted.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the posts, incredibly helpful. They are now secured up under the top case and look pretty good. Not as cool as Draco's silver clamp but not bungee corded to the side either. Thanks again!

    Homemade Tool Tube Placement

They're three by fourteen. I built one up at four diameter but it was so big I wasn't sure how to hang it. Also it looks like I'm attaching a bazooka to the side of the bike so I went a little smaller. Three or four is all home depot sold. I'm going to REI tomorrow to find a smaller fuel...

    Homemade Tool Tube Placement

Anyone have any advice on placement of tool tubes without pannier racks? My bike gets to the empty warning too quickly and I'd like to push my luck a bit and see where bottom is on the fuel tank. So I made the below tool tube but am kind of stuck on placing it. Anyone installed one without...

    What initial gear to buy?

Maybe an airhawk seat pad if you are going to spend alot of time on it. I commute on mine and that pad is the best compromise between the stock seat and the pretty expensive aftermarket replacements. Enjoy the bike!

    Givi engine bars

Did you notice any kind of new vibration upon installing the givi bars? I put mine on this week and there seems to be a bit of a vibration. I looked around the web and other forums complain about vibration from the bars on other bikes like the V-strom. They've come up with a lot of fixes...

    Givi engine bars

OCR, Did you notice any kind of new vibration when you installed the bars? I've read about givi bars and sw-moto bars creating a new vibration on other bikes, like the v-strom. I was just curious if anyone has the same experience?

    Givi engine bars

I know this is an older thread but I just wanted to thank you. Spent last night putting these bars on and geez!!! I hope Givi doesn't do instructions for any medical procedures. Those were the worst instructions ever and I was at wits end until I found this thread. I'm ordering the...
