Sounds like you have some issues, none that I have with my 2012. Have to admit, I do not spend much time at 75 mph, but it will see 75 to 80 with passing, and when I've been out chasing a friend with his BMW 1200 GS, which walks right away from the NC. I still get 50 mpg. Around here 55 to 65...

Face shield trimmed to match some of the lines on the NC and painted black on the back. I tried several heights and if they move the air flow to close to the bottom of the helmet I find they make noise. Art

Used a helmet faceshield. Had the right curve and size. Trimmed it some, painted the back black.

Ran another tank of fuel through the NC, and the mpg remains better than usual for me. 68 mpg with this fill-up. If it continues will have to give some credit to DID's claim that the x-ring chain has less drag than their o-ring chain. A

May be a fluke, but just put on a new DID VMX2, X-ring chain. DID claims less friction with this chain. I did feel it seemed to allow the wheel to spin easily when I put it on and after a couple hundred miles went for a fill up and was surprised that I got 72 mpg. Best I've ever got. Art

Found a frozen link at 9,500 miles, and had the new chain on the shelf that I got on sale. I've never had any luck working out tight links, and don't want a snapped chain out riding so changed out the orginal. New chain sure spins freely. I guess 10K is about average. Art
