A few people have been scammed on the site, Only use paypal to pay for items for sale by other members. If they will not use paypal, its likely a scam NEVER SEND E-TRANSFERS OF ANY KIND.
I can see your point, but Mark Barrett's manual is neither cheaper nor a knock-off, it's a different approach.
Manufacturer's official manuals are written for their dealer staff and assume a certain level of technical knowledge and experience. They also need to cover everything from common...
If you only have the free Adobe Acrobat Reader and not the full program that allows editing then one way to capture some text or other content is to open the document and take a screenshot of the relevant section. Then you can post or print the picture. Would that do?
I'm not sure its worth...
ALL on the pdf files? Do you have an electronic copy of his book? I thought it was only available as a printed manual.
With the printed manual you would just print out the two amended pages and literally cut and paste the relevant paragraphs with scissors and glue. Just like the 'good old...
Great job. Delightful in fact. :)
When it first began I thought that nine minutes of blurry rain might be too hard to take. But it was well presented, the music was perfectly chosen, and the effect both interesting and soothing. I'm about to watch it again - something I don't say too often...
Good to hear that she's healed OK.
Have you considered kevlar reinforced jeans such as these - Draggin Jeans ?
I have a pair of pretty heavy-weight pants for winter but in summer, or if I don't want to arrive somewhere in full battledress, I've found the reinforced jeans a good compromise.
I've always found that shifting is one of the real pleasures of riding (or driving for that matter). I'm sure you'll really enjoy learning to change gears and generally getting to know your new bike. I think you will find the weight/balance thing different though, coming from a scooter, so...
Hi Mick,
My calculations say that your 4.91litres is exactly 1.08 UK gallons. And 97.6miles/1.08gals = 90.37 mpg
You might get different answers from the Americans as a US gallon is not the same size as the UK gallon. :)
OK, in the interests of restarting the thread. I'll have a bash.
Previous tag was Sharkman, and I'm a Sharkman every time I put the helmet on and ride...
Next tag should be easy - In front of a flowering tree.
Oops. :o I guess for some of you that might be too seasonal...
And then of course the new bike with the bigger engine may well be heavier as well, so there's another number to throw at the speculative equations. Power to weight.
As others have said - the max figures don't tell you as much as some might think, the full comparative dyno sheets tell you a...
Same here.
Although I often find that the researching and general coveting of a new item is one of the best parts, I've been happy with a wide variety of choices. As you say, if they get the job done that's most of the battle won. I've had cars ranging from ancient side valve Morris Minors...
Vendors not having the claimed stock REALLY annoys me too. so I can sympathise with your position.
I do wonder why stock lists should be inaccurate at all, given that nearly all sales are processed through some sort of computing system now and should be able to update instantly. Things do...
Great description. :)
Interesting point about the adrenaline rush side of things too. Just for interest, I also posted exactly the same poll on the forum for my other bike - a CBR500R. I did wonder if the 500 would attract a younger group, and whether they would tend see themselves more as...
Where do they measure the seat height from anyway? Lowest point, centre of usual bum position, or what?
I have two bikes that are quoted in the specs as having the same seat height - from memory 790mm or about 31" (NC700S and CBR500R). But the 500 feels lower. Not sure why, but it just...
So it's the old fellows that are the tearaways, not the young guys? Who'd have known!... :)
Thanks to everybody for all the votes. Interesting results so far, and not exactly what I was expecting either.
