Indian Motorcycles has been celebrating quite a few successes on the Flat Track – and with their fifth consecutive championship won back-to-back, it stands to reason that they’d spend a few extra nights in the shop and pop out a unit in commemoration of their success.

Meet Indian’s 2022 Championship Edition FTR – a limited-run bike that takes the latest 2022 FTR and “the truer flat track dimensions of the original model,” with an extra dose of carbon fiber (seat cowl, front mudguard, airbox cover, headlight nacelle), and ‘special edition paint’ slapped on for kicks and giggles.

The red frame, red wheels and a red/white/gold tank all scream FTR750, complementing the tank cover bezel flaunting Indian’s 2017-2021 championships and a swanky twin-exit titanium Akrapovic exhaust.

MCN tells us that the wheels have been bestowed with the 19/18″ fitment (as per the original race machine), along with the Sachs suspension showing off a 150mm longer travel. Everything else (including the rear cylinder deactivation and the revised fuel filler) are courtesy of Indian’s 2022 model, with the 1203cc v-twin heart still beating out 120hp @ 8250rpm and 88.5ft-lb of torque @ 6000rpm.

With only 400 units being made worldwide (150 of which are EU-bound), we’re expecting this batch to sell out pretty quickly. If you’re one of the lucky handful able to secure your spot for a build, expect to fork out £15,995 ($20925.06 USD) – a near £2000/$2616.45 USD premium over the standard S model.
