I noticed if I hold the front brake and sharply press down on the handle bars I hear/feel a 'click' and it sounds like it is coming from the forks.

Am I bottoming out the fork travel? Should I be worried?

I don't notice any play or rough spots while turning the handle bars.

Ideas?

I occasionally get the same and assumed the steering head bearing but I cant consistently replicate it or find play .. Another noise was pinned down to a key vibrating on the bar clamp

It is quite possible that the click is a small amount of play in the stem head bearings. If so they will need adjustment.

It could also be the preload spacer "bouncing" against the fork tube cap as you rapidly compress and decompress it.

Not yet, haven't been able to take it by the dealer.

I think it is bottoming out, I'm a big guy!

I had what I thought was a click, it ended up being a short squeek in the frunk lid. Removed the seat slope fix spacers, noise went away...
