I was looking through the manual and it says we're supposed to clean the crank case breather which, according to the instructions, just means we have to unplug the tube and let whatever's inside drain out. Does anyone know if there are restrictions on how we dispose of what is removed?

I'm also going to adjust my throttle play because it seems to have slipped to the point where I have 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch of free rotation. The manual recommends at least 1/16" but no more than 1/4". Anyone else have this problem?

I wish I knew the first thing about checking the chain slack.

At 7600 miles I have yet to see any accumulation in the breather tube to drain. It's really just a check item at this point - no action necessary.

If I were not headed out to N.J. to drop off relief supplies next week I would have you swing by my garage and have you fixed up and trained on maintenance in one afternoon. If you can hang, maybe after I get back.

Most all Honda motorcycles and scooters seem to have this same breather drain tube with a cap on it. My Goldwing, Reflex 250 scooter, NC700X, and even the Ruckus 50cc scooter ("Zoomer" to the Brits) has it. The service schedule has you checking/draining this tube frequently. In all the thousands and thousands and thousands of miles on these machines, nothing has ever accumulated in these tubes. I have stopped even checking them.

However, your mileage may vary.
