Alright then...guess I’ll just have to toughen up! LOL. I have some bike shorts but havent thought to try them with this bike. Will give them a try and just start putting on more miles. My planned ride this fall will require 300-400 mile days so i have a ways to go.
TWIMC...okay, so here’s where I am on this seat thing. After some experimentation I ended up ordering a Sargent seat and had a long conversation with them about making my seat to correct the forward tilt issue, which they did a good job with and My lower back is no longer the issue. That’s the...
Thanks Showkey, I think I understand the concepts involved but will still probably have to experiment to see if I can soften the ride up at all. I am not some canyon carver looking to eek out more knee dragging performance. Just an old guy with modest skills trying to reduce the pounding to...
Just installed my new sargent seat and put about 150 miles on yesterday. It looks great but Right now I am wishing it had a little more “ squish”. Any idea if this seat will break in a bit with more use?
Brand new NC700x owner here. Having the same type problems. Sharp “ up” bumps feel as if the bike has no shock at all and actually bounce the bike (and my 230lb, 63 year old arse) upward hard enough to compromise traction. I haven’t measured the sag yet, but the bike feels very firm when I sit...
To 670cc...okay...my bike is apparently an X and not an S type as I was told whem my insurance agent entered the VIN. To be honest, I didnt even know there was an S type so it took me by surprise and I was pretty sure I had screwed up. After more research I am now positive that my bike is an...
Okay thanks. Figured there was a reason why. Truthfully, it pretty much feels like I am already sitting on the seat pan! (very uncomfortable seat.)
My bike is actually an S type. Which means I cant just order a Sargent seat to fit. Spoke with them yesterday and owners of S models must...
Proud new owner of a 2014 NC700S here. Took all of about 30 minutes to realize that the seat really sucks. Just wondering if anyone has tried to cure the forward slope issue by trimming off foam from the rearward portion of the seat?
Thoughts?
I have the same question. Bought a 2014 yesterday. I have a long twisty gravel driveway and it did fine in and out several times but the Pirelli ( trail riders i think) are not the tire for any loose stuff. I have a real dual sport bike ( DR650) which is basically a dirt bike that you can ride...
