Hi
I bought my NC back in Jan 2016 and did my 600 miles service on Feb. So far so good and I enjoy the bike to the fullest, however, the last time I changed the oil was back in Feb when I did the 600 miles service.
Well, the bike is my main commuter and I ride it everyday to and from work, but...
here is the link from Honda US -> https://powersports.honda.com/2015/nc700x/build.aspx check the ABS DCT option and see the price changes to 8099. Enjoy :)
P.S: I actually paid slightly less for my brand new 2015 NC700XD (DCT)
lower MPG than usual
Hello folks,
It's been relatively cold here in "Sunny" :) San Diego and since then I started to notice a drastic drop in fuel consumption with my beloved NC.
I used to get roughly 60 mpgs and now its down to 50 mpgs.
is it normal for motorcycles to get lower fuel...
Hi Guys,
Earlier this morning when I switched the ignition to ON, the bike went thru its normal self-check routine but then, all of a sudden, the PGM-FI light started flashing (it usually comes on for a split second and then disappears). For some reason, I didn't think about videotaping it so...
I did notice a significant difference in shifting ratios between S and D mode. I agree, S mode does feel a lot more natural and certainly more fun.
The reason I was using D mode was to conserve fuel :) but maybe I should try S mode more often.
regarding the fuel consumption gauge, I guess...
Hi Guys,
I have two questions.
1. Has anyone found the fuel consumption gauge/indicator useful. Can I relay on it to gauge how much fuel I have left in the tank. Honda claims it calculates the fuel consumption based on trip meter A. If I reset the trip meter A at every refuel, can I trust...
no remorse either. I love my NC.
the FZ09 looks great but , come on Yamaha, only 44mpg on paper. that's like 35mpg in real life :) no thanks, I'll stick with my 65+mpg NC700x -> more $$$ in my pocket.
thanks guys, I feel a lot better now haha.
I did a smell test not too long ago and I couldn't smell a thing (except the normal scent of a brand new bike) so looks like it's all been evaporated.
Hi Guys,
I accidentally overfilled the gas tank and a small amount got squirted over the seat and under. the stupid pump didn't stop :(.
I quickly cleaned it up with some water and later on when I got home with some cleaning detergent.
should I be worried? will the gas that got spilled...
Hi Guys,
According to the owner's manual (pg. 51), the maintenance intervals are @ 600 miles then 8000 miles, then 16k and so forth.
does that mean that after the very important 600 miles service, the next oil change would be at 8000 miles???
I've always wanted to be on the "Dark Side"
so this morning a dude on a big Harley stopped next to me at the intersection. He first honked the horn at me.
me: "what's up"
him: "I think your shift level fell off"
me: "<a big smile then> " nah, this is the new voice activated shifting by Honda...
Thank you guys, I am glad to be part of the NC700x club/family :)
I already know what I am going to replace. 1) the windscreen 2) the saddle.
the saddle is really uncomfortable, but maybe it is something my tush need to get used to.
670cc, to be honest with you, after riding it for almost 100...
Hi Fellow riders,
I am happy to announce that I am a proud owner of a brand new 2015 NC700X DCT.
I freaking LOVE it!!! or her as some people refer to their bike as a female.
I still have to get used to the DCT and not having the break lever on the left side, but overall, WOW the...
thank you so much guys. I'll keep shopping around.
I called state farm this morning and they quoted me for 440.
so far I have Geico @ 730/year and State Farm @ 440/year. same exact policy (i.e full coverage and stuff).
I have a clean record. had my M1 license for about 3 years and regular...
Thanks. That's good to know.
Hopefully I'll have my new NC by next week.
I own the Burgman 400 and I don't really like it. It's heavy, and the performance is worst than a Vespa 200. The only great thing about it is the storage.
I think the best maxi scooter is the TMAX.
Hi Guys,
unfortunately, my dealer doesn't have the DCT version on hand , only the manual version, so i won't be able to try it until it comes in. Honda claims that the DCT is 25lbs heavier than the manual one. For those of you who own the DCT, have you noticed any significant difference? does...
Well I guess I ran out of luck.
My dealership is unable to find the model I wanted (NC700x DCT). all they have is the manual version which I don't want. The closest one would be ~80 miles away but it will hike up the price by ~$2000. it just Not worth it!.
I wonder why they couldn't find any...
awesome. thanks guys.
I did use the search option and few threads came up but they were all related to the OP having some sort of a tech/mech issue with the bike.
going to the dealership in few hours. I'll let you know if I ended up swapping my burg for the NC? I am aiming for the Red NC700X...
