The 705's on mine are noticeably louder than a regular street tire, but not bad. I've never ridden on tkc's, can't compare. I am surprised at how well these 705's handle on pavement and gravel, great tires.

I successfully sent a text the other day on my Shadow, using my Sena bluetooth and voice recognition. That was weird, lol

My old man's CBX drag bike runs shim under bucket, that's a miserable job pulling the cams and such to set the valves, its converted to that due to the crazy cams it has (risk spitting a shim out in stock over bucket setup) Shim over bucket isn't so bad, usually I can get close moving them...
That's the only thing I don't like about my NC, or a lot of my other bikes, adjusting the valves. My 1100 Shadow has hydraulic lash adjusters, 53,000 miles and the engine hasn't been opened up yet.
Well I've been very patiently waiting for AltRider to come out with a skid plate and crash bars for the X, but unfortunately I received this email today:
Hello Steven,
I wanted to inform you that unfortunately we have decided, due to low sales of the Honda NC700X and high development and...
There's gloves to help with carpal tunnel, if you google it then they should come up. From what I've read they really help, that and flat foam grips (not ones that get wider in the center).
I know they made some specific for the FJ1100 I used to have, never bought them but everyone that did loved them. Supposedly they were "tuned" for the bike, they were application specific.
Power wise for 2 its plenty, my fiancée and I have ridden around a bit. I've got both front and rear Corbin seats on mine. Problem we run into is the length of the bike, I'm not a little guy, I'm 6'3" 230lbs, she's around 5'3" average build. I have the full set of trax luggage and the top case...
Well we rode it together yesterday, power wise its just right, no problem acellerating up the hills on the interstate in top gear. But that top box needs to move back a lot, the side boxes are just fine. I don't see an easy way to move the box, gonna have to stew on this. She didn't mind the...
As for power I've had roughly the equivalent of my girlfriends weight on the bike but in overly excessive camping gear, was still getting 62mpg and never had a problem running along around 70mph on the interstate. Not concerned with the get up and go. I don't ride fast anyway, I stopped pushing...
Its definitely not a rocket for a bike but very useable thanks to its power band (low end torque). I'd say my FJ1100 is more fun sometimes, when you come out of a corner onto a straight and let it have the reigns it'll make ya smile pretty quick. But the NC is a whole different bike, its twice...
The Corbin seat look like a huge improvement over the stocker but its yet to be sat on so I dunno. I'm 6'3" 230 and she's probably 5'4" ish and not a clue on weight (I'd call her average American build, not a toothpick but not overweight). The hard thing is she has cerebral palsy which affects...
Anyone here ride 2 up with a full set of Trax boxes? I've got the side boxes and trunk, with the back pad installed on the trunk. Haven't had my girlfriend on the bike with me yet but looking at it, there doesn't seem to be much room for feet/legs and the trunk seems to sit pretty far forward...
