Mounted a set of Tourance NEXT's today....150R70-17 rear and 120R70-17 front. First ride was amazing compared to my well worn Pirelli Scorpion Trails.....
I will update post as I get some miles on them.
The fog finally lifted a little and I got my first ride of the year in today-- not bad for Idaho-- a January ride. Tried my new helmet out today-- Shoei Neotec. Really liked it-- fits really well and after all I had heard about modulars being noisy was really impressed and relieved to find out...
Didn't have to heat seal any straps....I cut the web straps and buckles off the front of the bag and then attached the pieces that were designed to keep the web straps and buckles from scratching the tank. I also did make a dedicated key --- really a great mod!
I installed the barkbuster VPS's and the only tough part was getting the inner weights out. Follow the directions-- depress the tabs and get them started moving outward. I ran the stock bolt and weight back in loosely, clamped a pair of vice grips around the outer weight and hit them will a...
Here is where I mounted my Formotion Thermometer-- keeps it shaded and works really well here. Even without the ROX risers it was in a very visible spot. You can see it in the center on top of the steering head stem---- some emblem tape holds it securely in place.
I talked to Mark at Madstad the other day about the deflectors hitting the body work. He said that they thought they had that solved and would be sending me another set to try. Got the email on them being shipped today-- more to come. Great people to work with. Love the Madstad so far!!!
I have been emailing with Mark at Madstad about the deflectors and how they are still hitting the plastic. I sent him some pics of mine today and he is going to try a new cut and send me a fresh set to try. Said it would take a couple of days... great people to work with!
Got mine installed today ( pics to follow) did not add the deflectors yet....tried them and they do still contact the plastic... They will take some modding. Ran the windshield up about and inch on the brackets and tilted it at about 55 degrees or so...seems to really work well! I may paint the...
I am getting ready to add the Honda 12v outlet and accessory harness to my bike. It appears the accessory harness has a number of connections available for other accessories-- heated grips, etc. Anyone have a good source for the plugs needed to use these connections? I will be adding some...
Took the plunge yesterday and ordered the 22" SD in Dark Grey. Asked them to drill it higher so it would sit lower. Mark emailed back that they would easily do this and got the shield done the same day and shipped. He recommended not drilling any more than 1" higher to avoid any reflection...
I checked youtube before I installed my Fenda Extenda-- really didnt like the plastic rivet/regular rivet/screw look so I just used the tape supplied plus a liberal amount of RTV adhesive sealant with some spring clamps overnite---no issues and a very clean installed look. Of course -- clean the...
