Thanks, it was well worth the effort just because of how much commuting I was doing in the dark. It took some effort to get it just right and if I wasn't doing the night riding then I would have just made do with the standard headlight.

I seem to recall that if the battery is under too much load from other devices or doesn't have sufficient charge in it then the grips cut out. It may be worth checking the condition of your battery.

I saw the NC750X in the flesh today at a Bike show in the United Kingdom, I took a photo of the specification that was on display with the bike. The 81mpg (UK gallons) is certainly an improvement.

I saw on another site regarding the 2014 Honda line up that all their bikes are getting self canceling indicators, I couldn't find any mention in of it the NC750X press release though. Just spoken to my friendly Honda dealer who advises me that they will be getting the first NC750X's this month.

UPDATE! Having used this conversion for the best part of a year I thought I would let those of you that are interested know how it’s been. From the lighting output point of view it is stunning, if you regularly use your bike in the dark then I would seriously consider this conversion as a must...

I spoke to my friendly Honda dealer today and he confirmed that Honda have imposed a news embargo on them about the NC750 until Monday 4th November 2013. He has promised to send me the details and pictures as soon as he is allowed.
