Not so well. You only get one attempt before you can't ride the bike anymore, and today's deer (must've) limped away. Th SW Motech crash bars actually did a really good job, though they did bend quite a bit. Most of the damage is just the front plastics.

I've been using the same pair of $20 polarized glasses for the last two years of riding and haven't had an issue. For me, it seems most LCDs become unreadable at 90 degrees-ish to the normal because of how they're polarized. Shouldn't be an issue for our bikes and I find them much easier on...

Jump on it. I paid $6400 OTD a couple months ago for a left over 2012. I also wanted to wait for a different color but like you, I would've had to drive 4 - 5 hours to get it and would've paid a good bit more.
