A few people have been scammed on the site, Only use paypal to pay for items for sale by other members. If they will not use paypal, its likely a scam NEVER SEND E-TRANSFERS OF ANY KIND.
It's not patronizing when you can't see the woman rider. Patronizing is when motorcycle salesman try to get me to look at Viragos because they have low seats. When I am standing in front of them, having ridden up on my Super Ténéré. Which I flat foot. Doh!
My experience, when buying mine, is that dealers don't carry them, so it's no wonder they don't sell. My local dealer couldn't even be bothered to even come up with a price quote. (And I had bought three previous new bikes from those guys - they should know I'm not just kicking tires.) I had...
I ordered the CalSci medium and the Hondabikepro nut plates. The nut plates didn't quite line up so I didn't use them. Instead I put the stock well nuts back in. My windshield came loose the first weekend. Didn't come off, just started to wobble in the wind and gradually get closer to my...
I like the Givi stuff. I have used the same E360 cases on six or seven different bikes now. The matte black are cheaper than the painted ones, and they go with everything. I plan to keep running the same cases for every bike I own for the rest of my life. When I change bikes the only question...
For what it's worth they did refund my credit card when I canceled the order, and they were no slower about it than the average merchant I have returned things to. So if you do decide to order, and then they charge you and fail to ship, you can get your money back without having to take it to...
Well, I canceled my order last week and my credit card still doesn't show any refund. Checked the tracking number just in case they had ignored my cancellation and shipped it anyway, and no seat has been shipped. Has anyone who didn't cancel their order, received a seat yet?
I haven't had any complaints about the stock seat, but it's early days yet. I decided to order the Shad seat because I thought it looked attractive, and it would free up the stock seat for me to possibly destroy, if I wanted to frankenstein something for myself.
But if I had realized that...
I ran those for a long time and never had any of the problems people claim they cause. I got tired of having people insist on telling me horror stories, so I stopped using them, but I still think they're great. I might start using them again.
I got one too, and several others apologizing for their failure to respond to my earlier emails. So hopefully the seat will arrive before the 60-day deadline and we can all just forget about this unfortunate customer service episode.
They said that three people were accidentally charged on...
I sent them another email on Monday and still no reply. Their website doesn't list anything but email on the Contact Us page.
I looked it up. We get 60 days to dispute the charge. That's federal law so it's true for all of us in the USA. My bank may be more generous but I'm not going to...
I came back from my trip to Scotland yesterday and still no seat and no action on the UPS tracking site. And still no response to the messages I sent to them before I left. Came over here to see if anyone knew what's going on and I see it's not just me. I agree it is a shady way of doing...
For what it's worth I am not super impressed with Shad's shipping department. I pre-ordered the seat a couple weeks ago, so I didn't expect it immediately. But on March 6 I got email notifying me the seat had shipped, with a UPS tracking number. And the charge arrived on my credit card. But...
I haven't ridden my NC long enough to have this yet, and mine's the DCT anyway. But on my past bikes, I would find that the shifts were smoother when I had just changed the oil. As you get more miles on the oil, the shifting gets clunkier.
Do you want me to stop by and help you with the bar end weights?
Yes, I know you're across the pond, but I'll be in Morecambe for something else, week after next... ;)
My bar ends came right off with one good whack with the impact driver. I can pack it along.
So I have been working on this some more this weekend. My new connectors haven't come, so I can't see if they fit. And I'm not going to be able to work on it again until April; I will be gone the next three weekends. I need to get to a stopping point and button the plastic back up while I...
One more vote for "too many people". This is a safety issue. If you are pushing your limits, you need to stop and take breaks when *you* need to stop and take breaks. It's important to take those breaks and to take them at the right time for you. Trouble is, this is true for every rider in...
