Rode it over to visit my fathers grave. Been three years since I did more than fire it up in the shop to keep it loose. I have been riding my off-road bike when I do ride. Thought it was a good time to try the pavement again and beat the heat. Great bike, love it, time to ride it more. Ride safe.
My advise is to get a set of Dale's plates for the Cal-Sci shield .I have been running them on my large Cal-Sci since he first starting making them 3-4 yrs. ago. and they work. Tried the washer trick until Dale designed and starting making the plates. Get the plates. Ride safe.
Factory battery still tests good. No special charging routine, battery's sits in the shop with other battery's at fire resistant charge bank where I do a top off charging every month or two. This time of the year I keep two deep cycle boat battery's, 2 motorcycle, jet ski, 2 RV deep cycle...
I think u have a mud flap. Here's a pic of a hugger, your mud flap looks good for rear spray but a hugger will also help to keep crud off off shock and inner fender. Nice work though on the mud flap. Ride safe.
Only did 700 kms. this season because of other interests, still changed the GN4, probably overkill but when I'm doing 7 other oil changes in four strokes why not, oils cheap, condensation is my worry, I grew up on a farm and Dads voice still rings in my ears about oil is cheap bearings cost...
One of my best mods so far, 1000 km. was a pain on the stocker, tried pads, bike shorts, seat riser mod, nothing worked as good as the Shad does for me but not all butts are the same. Good set of highway pegs and a barn door sized wind screen in combo with the Shad made for a much more...
L.B.S. if u were to look at most of the current GP bikes, Honda ,Ducati, still run huggers racing , must be for more than for looks, they must have learned something back in the 80's. My shock and underside of that area is still almost grime free after 3 yrs. zero rock dings on my shock by using...
One of the first to install aftermarket screen when the bike first came out in 2012. Cal-Sci tall, highest holes, Dales plate, I like to ride with no buffetting of my head as I like to ride with my faceshield open most days, Its big but effective for its purpose. Ride safe.
Good trip anyway by the sounds. I rarely run my Honda topbox on trips anymore unless grocery shopping for that reason or ever at all anymore.I just pack less. Side cases with a large waterproof duffel low on seat behind me for a backrest works best for me travelling in big winds. I seem to...
